How do I disable the backup process for a specific Microsoft 365 Group?
Follow the steps below to disable backup for selected Microsoft 365 Groups.
Steps
Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Go to Jobs.
Step 3: Open the Microsoft 365 backup job you want to update.
Step 4: From the side tray, click Edit.
Step 5: Go to Step 3: Select scope. Click on Edit icon to change the scope settings.
Step 6: Select the Microsoft 365 tenant for which you want to update the backup scope.
Step 7: Under the Groups configuration, click Select or the edit icon to view the list of Microsoft 365 Groups included in the backup job.
Step 8: Locate the Microsoft 365 Group you want to exclude from the backup process. Clear the checkbox next to the Microsoft 365 Group you want to disable from backup.
Step 9: Click Confirm to save the updated group selection.
Step 10: In the Entities – Microsoft 365 window, click Confirm to proceed.
Step 11: Click Next to go to the Select apps step.
Step 12: Click Next to skip and go to the Configure settings step.
Step 13: Click Next to skip and go to the Configure add-ons step.
Step 14: Click Next to skip and go to the Define action flows step.
Step 15: On the Define action flows step, click Start Backup to save the updated backup job configuration.
The selected Microsoft 365 Group will be excluded from future backups for this backup job.
Disabling backup for a Microsoft 365 Group stops future backups for that group. Existing backed-up data for the group remains available in the SysCloud archive based on the retention settings configured for the backup job.
