How to change the retention period for backed-up Xero data?
You can change the retention period for backed up Xero data by editing the existing Xero backup job in SysCloud or by changing the default retention setting while creating a new job. The retention period determines how long SysCloud retains backed up Xero data for the selected backup job.
To change the retention period for backed up Xero data
Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Click Jobs from the top navigation menu. Open the Xero backup job for which you want to change the retention period.

Step 3: In the Job details side tray, click Edit.

Step 4: Click Next until you reach Step 4: Select apps step. In the Xero row, click the edit icon under the Apps column.

Step 5: In the Apps - Xero window, configure the retention period.
You can either:
- Enter a custom retention value and select the unit as Days, Months, or Years.
- Select Unlimited to retain Xero backup data without a fixed retention period.

Step 6: Click Confirm to save the updated retention setting.
Step 7: Click Next through the remaining steps.
Step 8: In the Define action flows step, click Start backup to save the changes and update the Xero backup job.
Action flows cannot be configured for Xero at this time because action flow support is not available for Xero add-ons.
