Configure a Data change insights action flow for QuickBooks Online?

You can configure Data Change Insights protection action flows in SysCloud to automatically perform actions on flagged items detected by Data Change Insights add-on. Action flows are configured in the backup job setup flow under the Define action flows step.

The criteria and actions available in an action flow depend on the selected add-on, selected app, item type, and flag type.

Configure a Data change insights action flow

Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.

Step 2: Click Jobs from the top navigation menu.

Step 3: Create a new backup job or edit an existing backup job.

To create a new backup job, click Create new backup job.


To edit an existing backup job, select the required backup job and click Edit in the Job details side tray.

Step 4: Complete the backup job creation or edit flow until you reach the Configure add-ons step.

Step 5: Select the Data Change Insights add-on to configure action flows.

Step 6: In the Apps dropdown for each selected add-on, select and verify the apps for which the add-on should be enabled. Configure the add-on settings, if required, and click Next.

Step 7: In the Define action flows step, select Data change insights and click Configure.

Step 8: In the Action flow - Data change insights window, enter a name for the action flow.

Step 9: Under Criteria, select the item type from the first dropdown.

The available item types can include:

Criteria type

File

Applies the action flow to file-based Data change insights detections.

Email

Applies the action flow to email-based Data change insights detections.

Objects

Applies the action flow to supported object-based Data change insights detections.

Step 10: Select the Data change insights flag type.

The available flag types can include:

Flag type

Description

Deleted

Runs the action flow when an item is flagged as deleted.

Changed

Runs the action flow when an item is flagged as changed.

Newly added

Runs the action flow when an item is flagged as newly added.

RecordAnomaly

Runs the action flow when an item is flagged as an anomalous record.

 

Step 11: Select the risk level for the selected flag type.

Step 12: Under Actions, click the + icon and select Export items.

Step 13: Click Confirm to save the Data change insights action flow.

For Data change insights, the action flow is used to export flagged items. The available criteria depend on the item type selected, such as File, Email, or Objects. The available action for this add-on is Export items.

Step 14: Once the configuration is done. In the Define action flows step, click Start Backup to save the backup job and apply the action flow configuration.
