How to configure file type inclusion and exclusion for OneDrive in SysCloud Legacy UI?
Applicable for the Legacy UI.
SysCloud allows administrators to control which OneDrive file types are included in or excluded from backup. You can exclude specific file extensions, apply size-based exclusion rules, and enable backup for media file types such as video, audio, and image files.
Steps to configure OneDrive file type inclusion and exclusion
Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Click the Settings icon from the header and select Backup Configuration.

Step 3: In the Backup configuration page, select Microsoft 365 from the cloud dropdown.

Step 4: In the Domains tab, scroll to the OneDrive section.

Step 5: In the Exclude files from backup section, add the file extensions that should be excluded from OneDrive backup.To add the recommended large file extensions, click Click next to the suggested file type list.

Storage-heavy file types such as mp4, m4v, avi, wmv, mov, flv, vmdk, and iso gets added instantly with this.
Step 6: To manually add a file extension, enter the extension in the Add File Extension field.

Step 7: To remove a file extension from the exclusion list, click the close icon next to the extension.
Apply file size based exclusion
Step 8: In the Size field, enter the file size limit and select the required unit, such as MB, GB, or TB.

For example, if the size limit is set to 100 MB, only the selected excluded file types that are larger than 100 MB will be excluded from OneDrive backup.

Note: If both file type and file size are configured, SysCloud excludes only the files that match the specified file extensions and exceed the configured size limit.
Include media files in OneDrive backup
Step 9: In the Include files in backup section, select the media file types that should be included in OneDrive backup. By default, it will be unchecked and excluded from backup.
You can enable backup for: Video files, Audio files and Image files.

Step 10: Scroll to the Apply to whom? section and choose how the settings should be applied.

You can select one of the following options:
Apply to backup archives for all users: Applies the updated settings to all existing users in the domain.
Apply only to users to be added in the future: Applies the updated settings only to users added to the backup configuration later.
Apply auto backup to all groups: Applies auto backup settings to all groups in the domain. This does not change user-level settings.
Step 11: Click Save Settings.
