How to do a Content Search for QuickBooks Online in SysCloud?
This article explains how to do a SysCloud eDiscovery Content Search to search for backed-up QuickBooks Online files or attachments using targeted keywords and conditional queries.
Overview
SysCloud’s Content Search helps you search backed-up QuickBooks Online data by entering a keyword, phrase or a conditional query that exists inside a backed-up file. For example, if a backed-up bill attachment contains the text “Indiranagar,” you can enter Indiranagar as the search text to find that file.
You can also use advanced filters when you select the File category. Advanced filters allow you to narrow the search using file metadata such as File name, ID, Size, Date Created and Note.
Steps to use Content Search for QuickBooks Online
- Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.
- Click on the filter icon on the search bar in the top right of the page to access eDiscovery.

- On the eDiscovery search page, enter the following details:
And select the Enable content search checkbox. Under Category, select All Clouds or File and select QuickBooks Online.Field Description Search name Enter a name for the search. For example, Content Search - QuickBooks Online. Search description Enter an optional description for the search. Search type Select One-time search or Scheduled search. Search tags Add tags if you want to classify or identify the search later. Search text Enter the keyword or phrase you want to search inside the backed-up content. For example, Indiranagar.
Note:
Selecting File instead of All clouds enables the Advanced filters section. You can use advanced filters to search based on file metadata such as File name, ID, Size, Date Created and Note.
You can also click + Filter group to add another filter group or + Add category to add another search category. - Click Start search.
View the Content Search report
- Go to Reports.
- From the report type dropdown, select Search report.
- Locate the QuickBooks Online content search.
- Click the value under Search results.
- Content Search returns results only when the searched text is available in backed-up QuickBooks Online content.
- Use Search text for content-level search.
- Use Advanced filters when you want to narrow results using file-level metadata such as file name or ID.
- The Advanced filters section appears when the File category is selected.
