How to edit a backup job in the SysCloud backup application

Follow these steps to edit an existing backup job in the SysCloud backup application.

Steps

Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your admin credentials.

Step 2: Go to Jobs.

Step 3: Select the backup job you want to edit.

Step 4: In the side tray, click Edit.

Step 5: In Step 1: Name backup job, update the backup job name or description, if required and click Next.

Step 6: In Step 2: Connect clouds & add accounts, review the connected cloud accounts. You can connect a new cloud account or add another account if required and click Next.

Step 7: In Step 3: Select scope, update the backup scope, if required.

Depending on the cloud selected in the job, you can add or remove users, domains, organizational units, accounts, shared drives, or other supported entities from the backup scope.

Step 8: Once the scope is defined and click Confirm.

  

Step 9: Click Next.

Step 10: In Step 4: Select apps, update the apps included in the backup job. Click the edit icon in the Apps column to modify app selection, retention period, retention type, exclusions, or app-specific backup options.

  

Step 11: Click Confirm after making the required app-level changes.

Step 12: Click Next.

Step 13: In Step 5: Configure settings, update the available backup settings, if required.

  

Step 14: Click Configure to define or edit the settings on domain level, OU level or user level. Then click Confirm to proceed.

Step 15: Click Next.

  

Step 16: In Step 6: Configure add-ons, update add-on settings, if required. Then, Click Next.

Step 17: In Step 7: Define action flows (optional), update action flows, if required. Click Start Backup to save the updated backup job configuration.

The backup job will be updated with the selected changes.
