Reconnect the Box account if the connection is disconnected, authorization has expired, or backup jobs fail because SysCloud no longer has access to the connected Box account. **Steps to reconnect a Box account** **Step 1:** [Log in](https://app3.syscloud.com/free-trial?page=login) to the SysCloud backup application. **Step 2:** Click Settings \> Cloud Connection Centre.  ![](https://help.syscloud.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-22-31-8503-AM.png?width=927&height=423&name=undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-22-31-8503-AM.png)  **Step 3:** In the Clouds tab, locate Box.  ![](https://help.syscloud.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-22-41-3028-AM.png?width=933&height=429&name=undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-22-41-3028-AM.png)  **Step 4:** Under the Action column, click the Edit connection icon for Box.  ![](https://help.syscloud.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-23-00-6313-AM.png?width=891&height=408&name=undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-23-00-6313-AM.png)  **Step 5:** In the side tray that opens, click Connect and add accounts. You will be redirected to the Box login pop-up window.  ![](https://help.syscloud.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-23-00-0839-AM.png?width=882&height=402&name=undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-23-00-0839-AM.png)  If browser pop-ups are disabled, SysCloud will show a message asking you to enable pop-ups. Enable browser pop-ups and retry the connection. **Step 6:** In the Box login pop-up window, enter the credentials of the Box account you want to reconnect.  ![](https://help.syscloud.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-23-20-0062-AM.png?width=924&height=459&name=undefined-Aug-14-2026-07-23-20-0062-AM.png)  **Step 7:** Authorize the connection and grant the required permissions. The selected Box account will be reconnected to the SysCloud backup application. Use a Box account with the required admin permissions to reconnect the account.
