How to reconnect or re-authenticate a Google Workspace account?
Follow these steps to reconnect or re-authenticate a Google Workspace account in the SysCloud backup application.
When should you reconnect or re-authenticate?
-
Reconnect or re-authenticate the Google Workspace account if:
-
The Google Workspace connection is disconnected.
-
SysCloud shows an authentication or permission error.
-
Backup jobs fail because the connected Google account is no longer authorized.
- The Google Workspace admin account used for authorization was changed or access was revoked.
Use a Google Workspace super administrator account to reconnect or re-authenticate the Google Workspace domain.
Steps
Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud application using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Go to Settings > Cloud Connection Center.
Step 3: Locate Google Workspace from the cloud accounts list or using the search bar.
Step 4: Click the edit icon next to the Google Workspace account.
Step 5: In the Google Workspace - Connect side tray, Click Connect for the account that needs to be reconnected.
Step 6: You will be redirected to the Google sign-in page. Sign in using a Google Workspace administrator account.
Step 7: Review the requested permissions. Click Allow or Finish to grant access.
Step 8: After authorization is complete, you will be redirected back to the SysCloud application.
Step 9: Verify that the Google Workspace account status is updated as connected.
