Google Admin Console Temporary Limitation: User Request Limit Reached

The restore is temporarily delayed because Google is limiting requests from the connected administrator.

Applies to:  Any Google Admin Console object. Most often group members and aliases.

 What this error means

Too many requests were sent through the connected administrator within a short period.

 Why this error occurs

Google caps how many requests one administrator account can make in a given period. Restoring group members and aliases uses one request per object, so a large restore can reach that cap. SysCloud waits and tries again automatically, so this usually clears without anyone doing anything.

 Resolution

  1. No action is normally required. SysCloud pauses and retries the affected items on its own.
  2. Avoid starting other large operations while the restore is running. Any other tool, script, or sync signed in as the same administrator draws on the same request limit, and some of Google's limits apply to the whole Workspace account rather than to one administrator.
  3. If the delay does not clear on its own, initiate the restore again for the affected items once the current job has finished.
  4. If the same items keep failing for more than 30 minutes, contact support.

 Verify the resolution

Confirm that processing resumes and the affected items complete successfully after the retry or waiting period.

 If the error continues

If the same items fail repeatedly for more than 30 minutes, contact SysCloud Support with the error code, job ID, affected objects, and timestamps. Google Workspace Support may also require the customer ID and failure window.
