Updating the Domain Administrator in Your SysCloud Account

If you receive the following error:

Error Message: Backup failed. It appears that the SysCloud Application Super Administrator no longer has the required privileges in Google Workspace to sync users, organization units, and groups.

This means the Super Administrator's privileges in Google Workspace have been revoked or modified, and SysCloud is unable to complete the backup due to missing API access.

To resolve this issue, follow the steps below:

Restore the Super Administrator role in SysCloud

  • Log in to the SysCloud application using an active Super Administrator account.
  • Click the Settings icon at the top right and choose Access management
  • Click Add admin
  • Select Super administrator from the role list.
  • (Optional) Click Edit permission to customize access.
  • Choose the user(s) to assign the role and click Add admins
  • Confirm by clicking Continue in the pop-up.

Grant required API access from Google Admin Console

  • Log in to your Google Workspace Admin Console using a Super Administrator account.
  • Go to Apps > Google Workspace Marketplace apps
  • Click on Apps list
  • Locate and click on SysCloud Security and Backup
  • Under the Data access section, click Grant access to allow the app to function.

Re-run backup

Once the Super Administrator role is restored and API access is granted, SysCloud will be able to sync users, organizational units, and groups. You can now re-run the backup without issues.

If the problem persists, contact SysCloud Support for further assistance.
