How to view backed-up Slack data in SysCloud?
You can view backed-up Slack workspace data from the Slack archive in SysCloud. The archive lets you browse supported Slack data such as public channels, private channels, workspace files, direct messages, and user groups.
To view backed-up Slack data
Step 1: Login to SysCloud application using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Click on “Archives” and select Slack from the Side Navigation Panel.

Step 3: In the Slack archive page, select the Slack workspace whose backed-up data you want to view.

Step 4: Open the required data category from the tabs available in the workspace archive.
Available categories include:
| Slack data category | Description |
| Public channels | View backed-up public Slack channels in the selected workspace. |
| Private channels | View backed-up private channels available in the backup archive. |
| Workspace files | View files shared in the Slack workspace and backed up by SysCloud. |
| Direct messages | View backed-up direct message conversations. |
| User groups | View backed-up Slack user groups. |
Step 5: Click the required channel, direct message, file, or user group to open and review the backed-up data.

Step 6: To view data from a specific backup point, click the calendar icon and select the required snapshot date and time. Read this article to know more about Snapshot Level view/restore for Slack.

Step 7: Click Apply to load the backed-up Slack data from the selected snapshot or snapshot range.

- The Slack data displayed in Archives depends on the data backed up by SysCloud for the selected workspace.
- Private channel and direct message availability depends on the Slack permissions and authorization granted during backup setup.
- Use the snapshot selector to view Slack data from a specific backup date and time.
- From the archive view, you can perform supported actions such as export or restore based on the selected Slack data type.
