When I restore Google Drive data, it has a checkbox to create a new folder for restoring the files. Is this a recommended process?

When this option is selected, SysCloud creates a new folder in the destination location and restores the selected files and folders into it. This helps keep restored data organized and prevents it from mixing with existing files.
