If you turn on ransomware detection when creating a backup job, SysCloud automatically scans your backed up data for the presence of known ransomware and malicious files before the attacker encrypts the file(s) or activates the ransomware. SysCloud can identify batch programs, executables, and macro-enabled ransomware in the data you back up.

This feature is available for the following applications:

• Team sites
• Outlook

SysCloud continuously monitors backed-up data for signs of ransomware activity and generates alerts when suspicious file encryption patterns are detected.
