Drive Restore Failure Due to View-Only Permission
Error Message: Restore failed. It appears the destination user account doesn't have the necessary privileges to restore.
Here’s why we are unable to restore the file to the user’s Drive:
Restore with sharing permissions failed because the user has view-only permission for the file(s). This is a Google API limitation.
You can try either of the 2 alternatives to get the file from the archive.
- The file can be restored to the user without sharing permissions selected. The user will be the owner of the restored file.
- The file can be exported from the archive and uploaded to Drive.
