Follow the steps below to export Teams channel files from the SysCloud backup application:
Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Click on “Archives” and select “Microsoft Teams” from the Side Navigation Panel.
Step 3: In the Archives tab, click on the Microsoft Teams site you want to export to enter it.
Step 4: Select “SharePoint” tab from the navigation bar on top. Select the site content(s) to be exported. Click “Export.”
Step 6: In the Export confirmation window, review the selected Teams SharePoint items and verify the snapshot date and time (click here to learn how to select snapshots).
Add a comment if required and click Export.
You can view the export status and access the download link from Reports > Export report. The export download link remains active for 7 days. After the link expires, you must initiate the export again to generate a new download link.
Teams channel data is downloaded as a ZIP package. Chat messages and related metadata are exported as CSV files. Files included in the export are retained in their original/native format.
