How can I reduce my SysCloud backup license usage?
You can reduce the license usage by deleting users from your SysCloud backup archives.
You can choose to delete specific users or Org units. To delete users in bulk, please create a support ticket with our helpdesk along with the list of users to be deleted.
Recommendation: You can delete the inactive (deleted and suspended) users on your domain, if you no longer need the data.
To review and delete the users on your SysCloud account, please follow the steps given below:
- Login to the SysCloud application.
- Navigate to User settings tab
- Classic UI - Click on Backup in the top navigation --> Click on Settings --> Click on 'Users' tab
- Turbo UI - Click on Settings icon (gear icon) on the top right on the navigation bar --> Click on Backup configuration --> Click on 'Users' tab
- Filter the list to view only protected users. Backup Status --> Protected
- Click on 'Download CSV' button on the top-right of the table to download the list of users being protected under the selected domain.
- If you wish to review only inactive users, apply the filter Account Status --> Deleted, Suspended and then click on 'Download CSV'.
- Review the CSV and mark the users that you wish to delete from SysCloud backup archives.
- Share the list with helpdesk@syscloud.com. We will process the deletion and unused licenses can be used to backup new users.
If you have multiple domains, on the top right of the user settings page there will be a domain filter, please follow the above process for each domain.
