How do I restore deleted emails for a user?

There are 2 ways you can search for the deleted emails and initiate restore:

Search for Email | Enable Data Change Insights

Follow the below steps to search for the email:

If Data Change Insights is not enabled, then there is no way system can suggest and show the deleted mails, so you would need to search for the deleted mail that you wish to restore.

Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your administrator credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Archives and select Gmail under Google Workspace.

Step 3: Click the user account to view the archived Gmail data.

Step 4: In the search bar, enter the subject of the deleted email and press Enter.

Step 5: From the search results, select the checkbox next to the email(s) you want to restore, and then click Restore.

Step 6: In the Restore pop-up window, select the required snapshot date and time, choose the destination email account where you want to restore the email(s), and then click Restore to begin the restoration process.

Follow the below steps to find deleted emails through Data Changing Insights Addon:

Data Change Insights should be enabled and configured for the users. Learn how to setup Data Change Insights for Google Workspace.

 

Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to the Archives tab and click on Google Workspace.

Step 3: Select the user whose emails you want to restore.

Step 4: Click on the Gmail app to open the user’s email archives.

Step 5: Click the filter icon and under Anomaly type, select Deleted.

Step 6: You can also apply date range or label filters to narrow your search if needed.

Step 7: Once the deleted emails are listed, select the emails you want to restore.

Step 8: Click on the Restore button to initiate the process.

Step 9: You can track the progress of the restore from the Reports tab in Restore Report.
