How does eDiscovery’s advanced filter feature work?
SysCloud’s Advanced Filter feature allows users to perform granular searches by selecting specific categories—Email, File, Chat, or Others—and applying filters relevant to that category. This enables users to build complex queries for precise search results.
How to Access Advanced Filters:
- In the eDiscovery search interface, select a category such as Email, File, Chat, or Others.
- Click on the Advanced Filters link to open the filter options for the selected category.
Suppose you want to search for:
- Emails sent more than 5 years ago with a specific subject.
- Files modified by a specific user named "Bruce."
Here’s how you build the query:
Step 1: Add Email Category
- Select the Email category.
- Click on Advanced Filters and set the following conditions:
- Created date > Jan 1, 2020.
- Subject contains "SysCloud."
Step 2: Add File Category
- Use the Add Category option and select the File category.
- Click on Advanced Filters and set the following condition:
- Lat modified by contains "Bruce."
Step 3: Review the Query
As you add filters, SysCloud dynamically combines the conditions and displays the query logic in the Filter Preview section.
You can use the Add Category option to include additional categories like Chat or Others and apply filters relevant to those categories. This process can be repeated as many times as needed to build a complex query covering multiple data types.
