How do I apply a legal hold on specific data?
SysCloud allows you to apply legal holds from three key locations: the search results page, the archives page, and the search report page.
Search results page
- Perform a search to display the relevant results.
- Select one or more users from the search results and apply a legal hold. All the items under that specific users will be placed on hold.
- If redirected to the archives page from the search results, you can still select multiple items and apply a legal hold. The same confirmation dialog box will appear for the hold action.
Archives page
- Navigate to the item-level archives for a detailed view of specific data.
- Locate the items you want to preserve and click the more actions menu.
Search report page
- Access the search report page to view aggregated search results.
- Select one or more search results.
- Click the hold action.
When selecting the Hold action from any of the three locations, you can choose one of the following options:
-
Create a New Hold Name
- Enter a name for the new hold in the dialog box.
- Click Hold to place the selected items under the new hold.
-
Add to an Existing Hold
- Select an existing hold name from the list.
- Click Hold to add the selected items to that hold.
