How do I export Gmail emails?
Follow these steps to export Gmail emails from the SysCloud backup application.
Steps:
Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Go to Archives.
Step 3: From the cloud navigation bar on the left, select Google Workspace.
Step 4: Under Google Workspace, select Gmail.
Step 5: Select the user whose Gmail emails you want to export.
Step 6: Navigate to the left label menu and select the specific Gmail label for export.
Step 7: Select the required Snapshot Date. The Snapshot Date shows the backup point currently displayed in the archive view.
Step 8: To export emails from a specific point in time, select the required snapshot date and time in both To & From and click Apply.
Step 9: Select the emails or email category you want to export.
Step 10: Depending on the desired export format, use:
- Click Export to export in EML format
- Click More > Export As
- Export to MBOX to export in MBOX format
- Export to PST to export in PST format
Step 11: In the Export- Gmail pop-up, verify the selected emails, email export format and the snapshot date.
Step 12: Add a comment, if required. The comment will be displayed in the export report.
Step 13: Click Export.
The selected Gmail emails will be exported in the selected format.
View export status
To view the export status, go to Reports > Export report.
The exported file will be available for download from the export report. The download link remains active for 7 days.
Gmail attachment export formats:
When Gmail data is exported, emails are exported in the requested format (EML/ MBOX/ PST) with attachments intact. Supported attachments are retained in their original format.
