How to export a Shared Drive? (Customers switched to Turbo UI from Legacy UI)

In the SysCloud Turbo UI, Shared Drive is available as a separate app under Google Workspace. Shared Drive data is not exported from a user’s Google Drive archive.

Follow these steps to export a Shared Drive from the SysCloud backup application.

Steps

Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your credentials.

Step 2: Go to Archives.

Step 3: From the cloud navigation bar on the left, select Google Workspace.

Step 4: Under Google Workspace, select Shared Drive.

Step 5: Select the checkbox next to the shared drive you want to export.

Step 6: Click More and select Export.

Step 7: In the Export - Shared Drive pop-up, Select the snapshot date for a point-in-time export of the entire drive. This enables the specific version of the shared drive as on a particular point-in-time get exported.

Step 8: Add a comment, if required. The comment will be shown in the export report.

Step 9: Click Export.

The export process will be initiated for the selected Shared Drive.

Step 10: View export status: Go to Reports > Export report to check the export status and download the exported data when it is ready. The download link is available for 7 days. The contents will be downloaded in a zipped file.

If Shared Drive is not available in the archives, go to Jobs and verify that Shared Drive backup is enabled in the Google Workspace backup job.
