How to export Google Workspace Sites?

Follow these steps to export Google Workspace Sites data from the SysCloud backup application.

Steps

Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your credentials.

Step 2: Go to Archives.

  

Step 3: From the cloud navigation bar on the left, select Google Workspace.

  

Step 4: Under Google Workspace, select Google Sites (Legacy).

  

Step 5: Select the user whose Google Sites archive you want to export.

  

Step 6: In the user’s Google Sites archive, select the checkboxes next to the sites you want to export.

Step 7: Click Export.

Step 8: In the Export - Sites pop-up, select the required snapshot date.

Step 9: Add a comment, if required. The comment will be shown in the export report.

Step 10: Click Export. The export process will be initiated for the selected sites.

Step 11: View export status: Go to Reports > Export report to check the export status and download the exported data when it is ready. The download link is available for 7 days. The contents will be downloaded in a zipped file. On unzipping, the sites are present in XML format.

  

  • Google Sites Backup Discontinued: SysCloud no longer backs up Google Sites due to Google deprecating the relevant APIs.
  • Legacy Export Support Only: You can still export your previously-backed-up legacy Google Sites, but the system does not support backups for new sites.
