How to export Slack Direct Messages?
Steps to export one or more Direct Messages or specific threads within a Direct Message -
Step 1: Sign in to your SysCloud account.
Step 2: Click on “Archives” and select Slack from the Side Navigation Panel.

Step 3: Select your workspace from the list.

Step 4: Select “Direct Messages” from the navigation bar on top and choose the user whose Direct Message you want to export.


Step 5: In the left panel, a list of all the user’s Direct Messages will be displayed.

To export the full Direct Message, select the checkbox next to one or more Direct Messages.
To export specific threads within a Direct Message, click on the Direct Message name in the left panel and check the boxes next to the threads you want to export. To preview a thread, select its hyperlinked name.
Click “Export” from the tab on top.
Step 6: In the Export window, verify the selected snapshot date using the calendar icon. Add a comment, if required, and click Export.

To check the Export status and access the download link you can proceed to Export reportunder Reports Tab.
Slack Direct Message data is exported as CSV inside a ZIP folder. Files, if included, are exported in their original/native format. The export download link remains active for 7 days. After the link expires, you must initiate the export again to generate a new download link.
