# How to export Teams Chat data?

**Step 1:** [Log in](https://app3.syscloud.com/free-trial?page=login) to SysCloud using your admin credentials. 

**Step 2:** Click on “**Archives”** and select “**Teams Chat”** from the **Backup and Restore** drop-down.  

**Step 3:** In the archives page select the chat that you need to export by clicking on the checkbox next to it or if you want to export an individual chat message click on the chat name to drill down. Click “**Export**.” 

**Step 4:** In the restore pop-up you can choose how you would like to export your chat. You can choose to export only messages, only files, or both. 

**Step 5:** Click confirm to initiate the export.
