How to restore Teams Chat data?
Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.
Step 2: Click on “Archives” and select “Teams Chat” from the Backup and Restore drop-down.
Step 3: In the archives page select the chat that you need to restore by clicking on the checkbox next to it or if you want to restore an individual chat message click on the chat name to drill down. Click “Restore.”
Step 4: In the restore pop-up you can choose how you would like to restore your chat.
There are options to restore to the members of the chat or any other user in your account. At the chat level, you can choose to restore only messages, only files, or both. At a message level, you can choose to restore messages with or without their replies.
Step 5: Click confirm to initiate the restore.
Note: Due to API limitation, each private chat will be restored as a new Team with the same name, and the files will be restored to the newly created Teams’ SharePoint.
