How to set retention period in the SysCloud backup application?

Follow these steps to set the retention period for a backup job in the SysCloud application.

Steps

  1. Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your admin credentials.
  2. Go to Jobs.

      
  3. Open the Google Workspace backup job for which you want to set the retention period.

      
  4. From the side tray, click on Edit to open the job in edit mode

      
  5. Go to the Select apps step. In the Apps section, click the edit icon.

      
  6. In the Retention period column, choose one of the following options:
    • Keep Unlimited selected to retain backed-up data without a defined retention limit.
    • Uncheck Unlimited to set a custom retention period.

       
  7. If you are setting a custom retention period, enter the required value and select the retention unit, such as days, months, or years. Click Confirm.
      
  8. Click Next to go to Configure settings step.

      
  9. Click Next to go to Configure add-ons step.

      
  10. If no add-ons are required to be configured, Click Next to go to Define action flows step.
      
  11. On the Define action flows step, Click on Start Backup to save the job and start the backup.

                      


                    The retention period determines how long backed-up items are retained in SysCloud. Items older than the configured retention period are not retained in the backup archive.
