What are the limitations of SysCloud backup and restore for Slack?
- The onboarding process can only be performed by the org owner/workspace owner.
- Due to Slack API limitation, SysCloud cannot back up edits to existing replies in a thread.
- This version of SysCloud backup and restore for Slack does not support restoring an entire workspace at once.
- Due to Slack API limitations, SysCloud will not be able to backup private channel conversations and direct messages of non-authenticated users. Each user will have to authenticate private channels and direct messages’ backup.
- This version of SysCloud only backs up the admin’s private channels and direct messages and not of every user’s.
- Due to Slack API limitations, SysCloud cannot backup or restore messages which have over 100,000 characters.
- Due to Slack API limitations, SysCloud cannot backup or restore messages which have over 100 attachments.
Beta version limitations:
- Cross-channel restore is not possible.
- Cross-workspace restore is not possible.
- Only 50 items can be restored at once.
- Cannot export workspaces, channels, files, or threads.
- Cannot access backup data insights.
