Resolve Google Admin Console restore error: Required Permission Missing
The operation failed because the Google authorization token does not include a required permission.
Applies to: Any affected Google Admin Console object
What this error means
SysCloud's connection does not currently have all permissions required for the operation.
Why this error occurs
When you connect Google Admin Console to SysCloud, Google issues an authorization token covering the permissions you approved. The token SysCloud holds does not carry a permission this operation needs, so Google rejects the request. Reconnecting the cloud and approving the full permission list issues a new token with everything needed.
Resolution
- In SysCloud, reconnect the Google Admin Console cloud.
- Sign in with a super administrator account, or the same administrator account that was used to connect originally.
- On Google's consent screen, approve the complete permission list. If you clear any of the requested permissions, the same error will occur again.
- Initiate the restore again.
Verify the resolution
Confirm that the connection shows as active in SysCloud, then confirm the restore finishes without error AP999.
If the error continues
Confirm that you reconnected the cloud for the same account the restore targets, and that no permissions were declined during sign-in. If the error continues, contact SysCloud Support with the error code, job ID, affected object, raw Google error message, and time of failure.
