How to restore a folder?

Follow these steps to restore a folder from the SysCloud Backup Application:

Step 1: Log in to SysCloud using your admin credentials.  

Step 2: Click on “Archives” and select Microsoft 365 from the Backup and Restore dropdown. Select an account and domain from the list to view your archives.  

Step 3: Navigate to the user archives tab and click on a user name to drill down into their archive. 

Step 4: Select the app and select the checkboxes next to the folders to restore multiple folders together and click "Restore".

Step 5: In the restore pop-up screen select the checkboxes, "Restore all sharing permission" and "Create a new folder for restore" options to restore folders with sharing permissions and folder structure intact.

Legacy UI

  1. Log in to the SysCloud Backup Application.
  2. Click “Backup”→“Archive & Restore.”

  3. Select the required Office 365 app: Mail (Outlook), Drive (OneDrive), Contact(People), Calendar, or Sites (SharePoint).

  4. Click the arrow beside “OneDrive.”

  5. Select the folder.

    Note: You can choose to restore:

    1. Only the folder (or)

    2. both the folder and its subfolders, when you select a particular folder.

  6. Click “Restore” and choose “Selected Folder.”

  7. Select restore options if needed:
    1. Create a folder for restoring the file.
    2. Restore the file with sharing permissions
      and click “Restore.”

  8. Click “Yes” to restore the file.

    Note:

    1. Unless your admin has enabled self-service in the backup settings, you will not have permission to restore folders.
    2. You can restore only the files owned by you. For the files owned by other users, ask them to reshare the files.
