Why are the restored calendar events missing?
Restored calendar events may appear to be missing if you are checking the calendar based on the restore date or the event creation date. Calendar events are restored to their actual event date and time.
They will not appear on the date when the event was created or on the date when the restore was performed.
Example
Assume a calendar event was created on July 1 for a meeting scheduled on July 15.
If the event is deleted and later restored on July 20, the restored event will appear on July 15, because that is the actual event date.
It will not appear on:
- July 1, because that is only the event creation date.
- July 20, because that is only the restore date.
To find the restored event, go to the calendar date on which the event was originally scheduled.
What happens when you restore an event you own?
When you restore a Calendar event that you own, the event is restored for everyone included in the event, including the invitees.
For example, if you restore a team meeting that you created and invited five users to, the event will be restored for you and the invited users.
-
End users can restore only their private calendars.
