Unable to restore Box data due to API usage limit
Unable to restore Box data due to API usage limitIssue
Your Box restore could not be completed because the Box API usage limit was reached.
Cause
SysCloud uses Box APIs to restore backed-up files, folders, comments, and collaboration details to your Box account.
Box applies API rate limits to manage API usage and protect service performance. When the API usage limit is reached, Box may temporarily reject additional restore requests.
As a result, SysCloud cannot continue the restore until Box allows API requests again.
API limits can vary depending on your Box plan, enterprise-level allocation, and Box account configuration.
Resolution
Retry the restore after some time.
If you are restoring a large amount of Box data, you can also try restoring the data in smaller batches, such as by selecting fewer files or folders at a time.
If the restore continues to fail due to API usage limits, contact your Box administrator to review the API usage for your Box account.
For more information, refer to the Box API rate limits documentation.
The backed-up data remains available in the SysCloud archive based on the retention period configured for your backup job. You can retry the restore once Box accepts API requests again.
