Why did my backup fail for Classic Google Sites?
This may be due to an API error from Google.
Google announced that by 1 Jan 2023, all Classic Google Sites will be migrated to the New Sites experience. The option to edit Classic Sites will be available till 1 December 2022. To know more, click here.
Due to this transition, API failures have increased, and are not under the direct control of SysCloud. In order to reduce the number of API failures, we have implemented exponential backoff as a best practice for API calls. To know more about exponential backoff, click here.
Note: New Sites are not backed up by SysCloud due to API unavailability. We will be able to backup New Sites whenever Google releases the API in the future.
