You can add Teams Private Chat to your backup by selecting the application in the jobs.
Choose the UI version - Turbo UI | Legacy UI
Select 'Turbo UI' - If you see 'Jobs' on the top navigation bar.
Select 'Classic UI' - If you see 'Start Backup' on the top navigation bar.
Jobs (Turbo UI)
Follow the steps below to set up a backup for Teams Private Chat using the SysCloud backup application:
Note: Users with an existing Microsoft 365 backup must reconnect their Microsoft 365 account in the Cloud Connection Center to enable Teams Private Chat backup. Click here to learn how to reconnect your account.
Step 1: Log in to your SysCloud backup account.
Step 2: Navigate to “Jobs” on the top menu, and edit an existing backup job to add Teams Private Chat to an already running backup.
Step 3: Navigate to "Define backup job scope", Next, click the edit icon (pencil icon) under Apps to define the apps you want to back up. Here you can select Teams Chat app.
Step 4: Finally, click on "Start backup" to initiate the process.
Backup Configuration (Classic UI)
Follow the steps below to set up a backup for Teams Private Chat using the SysCloud backup application:

Step 1: Log in to your SysCloud backup account.
Step 2: Click on “Settings (Gear icon)” on the top right, navigate to "Backup configuration" page.
Step 3: If you wish to enable private chat backup for the entire domain, under the 'Domain' tab, select the Microsoft 365 domain you wish to enable Teams private chat backup and under 'Apps' section, 'Select apps to backup' enable 'Teams private chat'.
or If you wish to enable private chat backup for the specific users only, under the 'Users' tab, select the Microsoft 365 domain, search for the users and navigate to the user's settings and under 'Apps' section, 'Select apps to backup' enable 'Teams private chat'.
