How to export Outlook emails?

Follow the steps below to export Outlook emails from the SysCloud backup application.

This article applies to the Turbo backup version.

Steps

Step 1: Log in to the SysCloud backup application using your admin credentials.

Step 2: Go to Archives.

Step 3: From the cloud navigation bar on the left, select Microsoft 365.

Step 4: Under Microsoft 365, select Outlook.

Step 5: Select the user whose Outlook emails you want to export.

Step 6: In the user’s Outlook archive, select the required mailbox folder from the left panel, if required.

Step 7: Select the required Snapshot Date. The snapshot date determines the backup version of the OneDrive data that will be exported.

Step 8: For point-in-time export, click on the snapshot date to change it. Select the desired snapshot date & time in To & From. Then click on Apply.

Step 9: Select the emails you want to export. You can select a single email, multiple emails, or the entire mailbox folder, depending on the available selection in the archive view.

Step 10: Based on the desired email export format,

• Click More > Export (By default EML).
    
• Click Export As and select the format in which you want to export the emails. Available export formats include:
  • Export as MBOX for MBOX format
  • Export as PST for PST format
      

Step 11: In the export confirmation pop-up, review the selected emails, export format and snapshot date.

Step 12: Add a comment, if required. The comment will be shown in the export report.

Step 13: Click Export.

The export process will be initiated for the selected Outlook emails.

View export status

To view the export status, go to Reports > Export report.

The exported data will be available for download from the export report when the export is complete. The download link remains active for 7 days. On unzipping, the mails will be obtained the requested format (EML/ MBOX or PST) as selected during step10, along with the attachments intact in their original file formats.
