How to set up username and password login for the SysCloud application? Admins only

This article explains how admins can set up username and password login for the SysCloud application.

To use username and password login, the user must first be added as an admin to the SysCloud backup account. After the admin is added, SysCloud Support must enable username and password login for that admin account.

Before setting up username and password login, complete the required admin setup based on the apps connected to your SysCloud backup account.

For Google Workspace and Microsoft 365

If your SysCloud backup account has Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 connected, the primary admin can add a new admin from the SysCloud application UI.

Use one of the following articles based on the admin role you want to assign:

After the admin is added from the SysCloud application UI, create a support ticket to enable username and password login for the newly added admin.

In the support ticket, include the following details:

SysCloud backup account name or domain
Admin email address
Name of the admin
Admin role, such as Super Admin or Backup Admin
Request to enable username and password login for the admin account

For SaaS apps other than Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
For SaaS apps other than Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 admins cannot be added directly from the SysCloud application UI. Create a support ticket to add the new admin and enable username and password login for that admin account.

In the support ticket, include the following details:

SysCloud backup account name or domain
Admin email address
Name of the admin
Admin role required, such as Super Admin or Backup Admin
Request to enable username and password login for the admin account

SysCloud Support will add the admin and enable username and password login for the admin account.

Steps to set up username and password login

Step 1: After SysCloud Support confirms that username and password login is enabled for your admin account, go to the SysCloud login page. Click Forgot Password.

Step 2: Enter the admin email address for which username and password login was enabled. Click Send verification code.

Step 3: Check your email for the verification code. On the password reset page, enter the verification code. Enter a new password and confirm the password.

The password must contain:

At least 8 characters
At least 1 uppercase letter
At least 1 special character
At least 1 number

Step 4: Click Change password.

Step 5: Return to the SysCloud login page and sign in using your email address and new password.

Adding an admin to the SysCloud application does not automatically enable username and password login for that admin.
For Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, the primary admin can add a Super Admin or Backup Admin from the SysCloud application UI and the newly added admin can use their Google/Microsoft 365 accounts to login to SysCloud. However, username and password login must still be enabled by SysCloud Support.
For all other connected apps, contact SysCloud Support to add the admin and enable username and password login.
Do not use the Forgot Password option before SysCloud Support enables username and password login for the admin account. If username and password login is not enabled, the password setup cannot be completed.
